Doctor Says

“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4 KJV Happy New Year! If you recall, in the first capsule of 2016, I said that at the end of the year, we would have spiritually made so much progress if we remain steadfast, unmovable and abound in the work of God (1 Corinthians 15:58).
It was not a prophecy; it came with certainty of the Gospel (Good news). But wait; there is much more this year, much more! We would do greater things together this year so don't be distracted by the temporal things. Before we start the first series this year we need a DETOX capsule to cleanse our system, something to do a power flush, so that the system works efficiently and effectively. Two things usually characterize this season (the end and beginning of the year) in any Christian group both small and large. The first is the Prophetic Word with respect to the New Year. This generally speaks positive messages of hope, backed by appropriate scriptures. Although they might come in different flavours, they all without exception are meant to edify and encourage. I sincerely believe that these reflect the heart of God, and they are true. God is LOVE, we are His children, so that is what we should expect, for me that is a 'no brainer' (James 1:17, Jeremiah 29:11, 3 John 1:2). The second thing is a genuine desire to get close to God and know Him better. Hence, most of us start different bible reading plans, subscribe to bible devotionals, invest in Christian books, and take up membership of different prayer/bible study groups and many other laudable endeavours. This also should and must be encouraged.

However what is most important is for you at the end of each year to be able to take stock and assess progress made. This year for each and everyone of my partner I expect an explosion in your spiritual knowledge and capacity. This is not a prophecy; it is based on the certainty of the Gospel (Good news of the completed work of Christ). I have two keys to share that will help unlock the reward for your efforts in this capsule. Don't be an Echo: “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11 KJV The first thing is that 'you must know what you think you know'. In Acts 17:11-12, the scriptures described a unique set of people called the Berean Christians. Of all the groups Paul taught, what set them apart was that they received the teachings of Paul with an open mind. But more importantly they spent time to verify that the teachings were true. They were not concerned about the charisma, eloquence or oratory of Paul. Their sole interest was to find out whether it was the TRUTH. Verse 12, says they BELIEVED after they have verified these teachings as true. Notice that THEY were the ones who took the time and effort to 'search the scriptures daily'. This is huge! It always amazes me when I hear Christians say or do things that has no basis in scripture. What is more amazing is when you ask them why, and they cannot explain. They are like echoes, stuck in repeat mode. When you do what the Bereans did, few things happen. The first is that you are able to remove the wheat from the chaff and confirm the true heart of God (1 Thessalonians 5:21). That is why I implore, challenge and encourage MinDGyM partners to spend time and check the bible references we provide, there is no short cut (No man is infallible).

The second reason is that, you cannot live on another man's revelation; you need to meditate on it until it becomes your own! I have benefited immensely from different people and will continue to do so, but before I repeat something, it would have become a revealed knowledge to me.

CONCLUSION  BE SURE OF WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW, THEN DO IT
