A big question that we may not need to ask should be the relevance of Social Media in today's world. Is it here to stay or not? It is evident that we are still at the early stages of this revolution and we need to brace ourselves as believers and be sensitive to the new challenges and opportunities that we are faced with.

There is an increasing use of the various social media platforms by churches today to stay connected with the community, even long after the 'formal' church services as ended. This creates the desirable outreach opportunity to ensure that God's word is propagated in imagery, videos, audios and even in less than 140 characters.

Hebrews 10:25 (NKJV) says " not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

It is absolutely important that we all as believers embrace the use of social media for the sake of encouraging each other while also reaching out to many with our good news. As with a lot of things in our world today, it has its cons which definitely can be avoided with care.

Let's keep social.
